This is the Pelargonium inquinans that lured me with its scarlet flowers against the grayish color of the late afternoon sun. I found this plant in a small, abandoned part of the garden, and the flowers seemed to glow from inside. I framed the shot so as to emphasize the intricate details of the flower petals, capturing the delicate veins and subtle variations in color. I hope my photograph conveys the vibrant energy and unexpected beauty I found in this deceptively ordinary plant.
